Feeding Dreams: Recognizing Unsung Heroes

Our everyday heroes: you see them every week at the food shelf, at the health fair, or the youth center. People who day in and day out make a huge difference in their communities.

It's time to thank them
NCNW - Commitment. Unity. Self Reliance.

In partnership with the National Council of Negro Women — an organization founded in 1935 that performs research, advocacy, and national and community-based services and programs on issues of health, education, and economic empowerment in the United States and Africa — General Mills is pleased to launch Feeding Dreams.

Nominate someone in your community who is making a difference in the lives of others, and that person could be recognized with:

  • $500 Visa Check Card
  • A supply of General Mills products
  • $1,000 to donate to a favorite charity
  • Recognition at a local National Council of Negro Women event

There are three honorees every month. If you know someone who truly exemplifies service to others in the communities of Birmingham, Charlotte or Memphis, show that someone has noticed all the hard work with a nomination!

General Mills is proud that almost 80 percent of our employees volunteer time to feed dreams in their own communities. Read some of their stories.
